Our next Menopause & Women's Health Cafe will have a member guest session

Sarah has been an integral part of the Menopause & Women’s Health Cafe community for over two years, so it’s especially meaningful to welcome a familiar face to share her expertise.

It’s wonderful to learn from someone who has not only benefited from our community but is also passionate about offering support to fellow women.I’m excited to introduce my upcoming session, Movement & Meditation, at this month’s Women’s Wellbeing Cafe.

Drawing on a career spanning over 30 years in healthcare as a carer, nurse, and educator in hospitals, community settings, and a children’s hospical. Sarah has also explored complementary practices. Her journey led her to complete yoga teacher training and teach yoga for a couple of years, as well as to finish a three-year Sat Nam Rasayan Healing course that deepened her understanding of healing through meditation.Movement & Meditation is a somatic movement practice designed to help us reconnect with our breath and body.

This approach supports the regulation of the nervous system and aids in stress management, encouraging a mindful awareness of our physical needs and inspiring adjustments that promote overall wellbeing.

The 45-minute session is structured to include:

Shaking: A standing exercise to release tension.

Grounding: Another standing practice to foster stability.

Stacking the Spine Meditation: A seated meditation aimed at aligning and calming the body.

Soothing Touch: A seated practice that nurtures relaxation and healing.

This gentle yet effective practice requires no special equipment and can be comfortably performed in flat shoes, socks, or barefoot.

Join us to explore a transformative method of nurturing both your physical and emotional health.We look forward to welcoming you to our next cafe on 26th June from 11am - 1pm at Leabridge Rd Library

The sessions are usually be held on a monthly basis and we hope to have it locally at a local Library in Waltham Forest Click the link to book in and share across your networks. Bring you library card to get discounts at the cafe. Light refreshment will be available

On a not for profit basis

Alongside refreshing drinks and cake!

Arrive at 10.45am to get yourself a drink and settled before we start at 11am.

Every month there will be a theme - previous we've discused Menopause & Blood Sugar management, pelvic health
